The Power of Communication

The Wellness Expo was held on October 17th and 18th at the Addison Convention Center. This Expo was a lot of fun for many reasons, but my conversations with the woman in the next booth were especially funny. She was selling a new product and had never been to anything like the Wellness Expo. It was frightening to her because she had heard that “psychics” were going to be there. She had never met one.
There was genuine concern on her part because she was taught to avoid interaction with psychics. I was the first one she had ever met. Our conversation grew into a “mini” reading, and she was impressed. She observed that the reading was not anything to fear and commented that she often knew the outcomes of situations in advance as well.
The encounter was very positive because the lady became very comfortable with the people at the Wellness Expo and me. She remains very committed to her faith, but she no longer fears psychics. She understands that we are not the stereotypes often depicted by the media and others.
It was the power of communicating with someone from a different background that made the difference. Talking to me and learning more about the work I do allowed her to have a better understanding of psychic ability and people in this profession. It was a happy experience I wanted to share with you.
